Our Governing Board

Our Governing Board provides mission-based leadership and strategic governance for the association. Serving on the Board is an extraordinary opportunity for members who are passionate about our vision and mission and deeply committed to the success of Head Start.  The majority of Board members are seated by our state affiliates representing four categories - director, staff, parent and friend.  The remaining vacancies are filled as At-Large positions approved by the Board as well as State Collaboration Directors.  Officers are elected by the Board and may serve two consecutive terms.
